Tiffany Studios produced a wide variety of decorative and desk items during their period of commercial production beginning at the very end of the 1890s. Bronze was frequently combined with blown or sheet glass. In addition to the desk sets produced on a relatively large scale, hundreds if not thousands of different items were produced, including special commissions for individuals and groups.

Amongst the special items produced in limited quantities or as unique commissions are pottery, enamels, and jewelry.

 

The collector interested in acquiring genuine antique Tiffany bronze and decorative items is well advised to deal only with the most reliable sources, and to consult the opinion of an expert when necessary. In addition to similar period works by other period producers who were able to approach or equal Tiffany quality at times, original works with hidden alterations or flaws and reproductions have been in the marketplace for decades.
